At an animal shelter, there were a lot of dogs and cats that people didn't need or lost. They were in a narrow corridor, and barked as they asked our help when we came. I have a dog, so I was much affected by their appeal, and learned the sorrowful fact. I thought I cherish my dog more. After that, we went to their house. I was surprised because their house looked like Japanese house, and they have many Japanese things. It made me comfortable. I served them powdered green tea as I belong to the tea ceremony club. They love many kinds of tea, so they were very pleased, and I was also glad. Then, Lloyd served us Chinese tea. It was a little bitter and strong, but it tasted good. At night, we went to the theater to watch a movie named "Marley and me." It was difficult for me to watch the movie in English, but I could understand by context. Watching a movie in English is good practice to study English.

Hi Yoshimi! I am the daughter of Lloyd and Marcy. They had fun with you. My husband and I like to travel in Japan, and cook Japanese food. We live in California.

Hi Yoshimi and classmates.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is mstunik.blogspot.com
Right now, the blog is all about English grammar :) Play the grammar girl game, or listen to the podcasts, and tell me how you like it.
I am a high school English teacher.
In Japan, I have traveled to Takayama, Kyoto, Koya-san, Nagoya, Okinawa,Miyajima, Matsuyama, Hagi, Tsuwano, Matsue. You have a beautiful and delicious country!
Yoshimi, you cooked with my mom using cup measures. Japan uses metric, as does the rest of the world, so you will need to translate the measurements.
Anyone who wants to practice English can leave a post on my blog.
