Knowing each country

Ayako and my sisters name is Pat. She has visited Japan when she was young, so she is really interested in Japan. On march 9th, we talked about our country. Pat told about the education in America. I was surprised that in America, there is no junior high school. Pat also told us about some famous places in America. She drew a map, so it was easy to understand the place. We drew a map of Japan and told her about Japanese landmarks. She was very interested in Hokkaido as there is a lot of fresh seafood. I hope she will visit Japan again. I really enjoyed talking with Pat and eating ice cream!!!

  1. I'm surprised there is no junior high school, too! I think that we call it middle school now, but it's pretty much the same thing. The funny thing is, sometimes it's 5th-8th grade and sometimes 6-8th and sometimes only 7 and 8th grade. Each school district is a little different.
