The great family

I went to my home stay from Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th. This is my first home stay, so I was a little nervous, but very excited. On Friday, my host mother, Laura picked us up at 4 pm. I was very nervous, but she warmly welcomed us with a nice smile. When we arrived at their house, she showed us all the rooms. In their house, there are a lot of pictures of their family. My host father, Jim and Laura, have six children and three granddaughters . All children have already moved out, so there are only Jim and Laura at home. In the evening, we ate dinner together. Laura made fried chicken. It was so delicious. I was very happy. After dinner, they taught us some games. It was fun to learn new game. I feel we could open up through playing games. On Saturday, we went shopping with Laura after breakfast. We were shopping for about two and a half hours. It was very fun. After we came home, Jim made milkshakes for us. It was very good! I knew he loved sweets very much. In the evening, their oldest daughter, Jenny and her daughter, Bronte and Norah came home and had dinner together. Their granddaughters are cute and very affable. On the last day, we made pizza with Laura. This is the first time to make pizza, so I was very excited. It took about three hours. It was very fun! I was happy because Laura taught us how to make pizza very kindly. Every Sunday, their children gather at their house and have dinner together, so four of the six children came home. It became lively all at once. We ate pizza we made and chatted together. I think they get along very well. They all looked so happy. I felt I want to have happy family like them. After the children went back, they took us to our dormitory. I felt sad because I really had a good time with them and they are so kind and warm. When we arrived at our house, we hugged. My heart was full of thankfulness. I'm really happy that my first host family is Jim and Laura!
