Homestay was an exciting event for me. It was my first time to go to homestay, so I was a little nervous at first. However, my host family was very kind, so I felt comfortable all day. There are 5 people in my host family: parents, 2 sons and 1 daughter. The youngest girl, Danielle, was interested in japan, so I taught some greetings to her. She told me that she wants to go to a Japanese university. I never thought about university when I was her age, so I was surprised to hear that. On the second day, we had a "potluck party" with neighbors!!(a meal to which each guest brings some food, which is shared out among the guests) I ate a lot of homemade pizza. It was yummy!! At homestay, I learned some new vocabulary and family's lifestyle in America. Almost all day I ate junk food, so I got fat, but I really enjoyed living with a new family. I'll meet them again on April 18th. I'm looking forward to seeing them!!
