Can you imagine?

This weekend (March 27th-29th), I went to host family's house with my partner Satomi. It was the most special weekend for me in America, or maybe I can say it was the best weekend which I've ever had.

I've been to Australia and stayed with an Australian family for two weeks when I was 14. All friends who went there together enjoyed talking with their host family. But unfortunately, my host family didn't like talking with me. I was really lonely and I missed "my family."

To tell the truth, I was little worried about this homestay weekend because of the experience. Can you imagine? How fantastic my American host family was! My worry was totally silly! They were very kind and gentle. They talked with me a lot. For them, Satomi and I were the first Japanese students they've ever had, so they didn't know so many things about Japan. They enjoyed our Japanese dinner, souvenirs, cultual differences, etc. I'm really impressed with their treatment for us. They showed us many placees downtown Spokane, went to a church together, taught us how to make bread (host father used to be a cook!), etc.
I miss my "American parents" but my host mother said to me last night "It's a small world." I'm really looking forward to meeting them again!
