We learned a lot

It was an absolutely amazing trip, and also it changed my idea; history is interesting. I learned a lot about American history and society during this trip for about one week. One of the most impressive places was the place where Martin Luther King, Jr. had the "I had a dream" speech. I liked the place because it was the place where he changed the world. Actually, it was really exciting to stand there to make a wish. I was thinking that history is boring but it is not. If we learn more, it will be more fun, and going to see the important places make us easy to understand. Also, learning history helps us to understand the different cultures and people's ways of thinking. It was really interesting to learn about it and how the United States has been changing. At the same time, I thought I want to study something in this American culture because it is totally different. We Japanese should learn some part of them to make a better country.

In two nights, two of my friends in Boston and Washington,D.C. visited me at the hotel, and we had a great time. I'm so happy that I have such good friends.

Lastly, one of the person who made this trip wonderful is our Kate. Even if we were super tired, she made us happy and genki. She was the best escort for us!

It was a wonderful trip, and I want to keep learning. And also I want to keep having a dream.

  1. Sachiyo--you are so sweet! It was really fun to travel with you. Last time I went on the ECT, Bush was president, so this time I really felt a different atmosphere. What a relief!!!
