My Best Memory

My favorite place is the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. I was surprised when I arrived there. The premises were very large, and they have nine museum. First, I visited the Air and Space museum. I could see history of Apollo, space suits, space food, and life in space. Also, I could touch a moon lock. I was very excited. Second, I visited Museum of National History. Just as I enterd there, "what a big elephant!" I shouted. It made me more exciting. Then I advanced deep into the museum, there were many animals of another countries. They seemed real animals. Finally, I walked around the Sculpture Garden. They have many beautiful flowers and trees. There were many people in front of the flower beds, and taking pictures. So I could talk with some people who came from another countries. It was good oppotunities to communicate.

I admire that we can enter the museum without paying an admission fee. It's uncommon in Japan. If we had have more time, we could visit another museum too. But I enjoy a lot. I had good experiences.

  1. I'm glad the Smithsonian is free, too! I think our taxes pay for part of it, but I don't mind. I love them! I wish we had some Smithsonian Museums on the West Coast, too.
